No, you can browse restaurants, mosques, events, and services without an account. However, you'll need to sign in to write reviews, upload photos, earn points, or make purchases on Souq marketplace.

Tap the profile icon and choose to sign in with Google, Apple, or email. It only takes a few seconds to get started.

Go to the Restaurants section and tap "Near Me" to see restaurants sorted by distance. Make sure to allow location access when prompted for the most accurate results.

Restaurant halal information comes from multiple sources including community contributions, official certifications, and AI-assisted research. We display confidence levels and encourage users to verify details directly with restaurants.

On any restaurant page, you can verify information, add photos, or write a review. Your contributions help the community and earn you points!

On the restaurant detail page, tap "Something wrong? Tell us" to say what is wrong. Our team reviews every submission.

Prayer times are calculated based on your location using established Islamic calculation methods. We recommend confirming with your local mosque for the most accurate times, especially for Jummah and Eid prayers.

Yes! Each mosque listing shows Jummah prayer times when available. You can also filter mosques by those that offer Jummah prayers.

Use the "Suggest a Place" feature from the menu to submit a new mosque. Include as much detail as possible and we'll review and add it to the directory.

Souq is HalalHQ's marketplace where you can buy and sell halal products. From modest fashion to Islamic books, food items to home decor - all from trusted sellers.

Browse products, add items to your cart, and proceed to checkout. You'll need to sign in and provide a shipping address. You can pay by card through Stripe, or choose Pay on Delivery and settle with cash or PayID when your order arrives.

If an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, there is no time limit: that is your right under Australian Consumer Law. For a change of mind, the window is set by each seller and is shown on the product page, commonly 7, 14 or 30 days, and some sellers do not accept change of mind returns at all. Go to your Orders page in Souq to see the status of all your orders. You'll also receive email notifications when your order ships and is delivered.

Visit the "Sell on Souq" page to register as a seller. You'll need to provide business details and complete our verification process. We charge a 7% commission on sales with no upfront fees.

Search the product by name, or scan the barcode on the pack and we'll look it up. Every product page shows its status along with where that came from, whether that is the business, the maker, a certifier or the ingredients panel.

Doubtful means at least one ingredient has a halal question over it that we could not settle from the pack alone. Unknown means we do not hold enough to say anything yet. Every product page lays out the reasoning, including the ingredients we could read and which halal authority the finding rests on.

Yes. A photo of the ingredients panel is the single most useful thing you can send us, because it is what the analysis reads. In the HalalHQ app, open the scanner and scan the barcode, and if we have not got the product yet it will ask you for a photo of the ingredients panel. On the website, open the product and use Add ingredients photo if it shows.

Not in the chat. The scanner in the HalalHQ app reads an ingredients panel from a photo, which is the accurate way to do it, so send the picture instead of typing the list out.

Khidma is our jobs and services board. People post what they need doing and providers quote for it. Register as a provider on the Become a Provider page and you can start taking on work.

Open your listing and use the claim option on it. We check ownership before handing over access, and once that is done you can edit your details yourself.

You can sell the food you cook at home through HalalHQ. On the Sell from your home kitchen page, tell us if you want to take orders through HalalHQ or just be listed in the Home Kitchens directory, and we'll set your kitchen up with you.

Send it through on the Suggest a Place form. You will need to be signed in, and the form asks for the name, the suburb and which halal option fits best. Our team checks it before it goes live. If it is your own business, say so in the notes, and once it is live you can claim it from the listing.

Open the sign in page, tap "Forgot your password?", and enter the email address for your account. We send you a link to set a new password. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, check the junk folder before asking for another one.

You earn points by contributing to the community: writing reviews, uploading photos, verifying restaurant information, and other helpful activities. Points can be redeemed for vouchers at partner restaurants.

Go to Settings in your profile and select "Delete Account". This will permanently remove your account and all associated data. You can also email [email protected] to request deletion.

Go to Settings in your profile to manage notification preferences. You can control which types of notifications you receive including order updates, community activity, and promotions.

On any restaurant, mosque, or event page, look for the "Add Photo" button. You can take a new photo with your camera or select one from your library.

Photos should be relevant to the place, clear, and appropriate. Avoid photos with people's faces (unless you have permission), personal information, or inappropriate content.

On any restaurant page, tap "Write Review" and share your experience. Include details about the food, service, and halal practices. Helpful reviews earn you more points!

All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We never sell your personal information. You can read our full Privacy Policy for complete details on how we handle your data.

Location is used to find nearby restaurants, mosques, and services, and to calculate accurate prayer times. We only access your location when you use these features and don't track you continuously.

Camera access is only used when you choose to take a photo for a review or contribution. We never access your camera without your explicit action.
