Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was first revealed, making its recitation especially meritorious. Engaging in a Qur'an circle during this sacred month allows participants to connect with the divine message, reflect on its meanings, and earn multiplied rewards for every letter recited, fostering immense spiritual growth.

Fact 2:About Class Events

A Qur'an circle, or 'halaqah', is a powerful educational setting in Islam. It creates a supportive environment where sisters can improve their tajweed (pronunciation) under qualified teachers. The group dynamic provides motivation and accountability, helping participants achieve the beautiful goal of completing the entire Qur'an, an act known as a 'khatm'.

When is Sisters Ramadan Qur’an Circle?

The circle runs every day throughout Ramadan, starting the day after Ramadan is officially announced (based on moon sighting). The approximate dates are February 19 to March 19, 2026. Timings are 11:30 AM until Dhuhr prayer (Monday-Friday) and from Dhuhr until Asr prayer (Saturday-Sunday).

Where is Sisters Ramadan Qur’an Circle held?

The event is held at the Hume Islamic Youth Centre (HIYC) in the dedicated Sisters' musallah. The address is 1/15 Motto Drive, Coolaroo, VIC. The centre is a well-known community hub with available parking.

Is this event free or do I need to register?

This is a completely FREE event for all sisters. No registration is required, making it easy to join whenever you can. The goal is to make this blessed activity accessible to everyone in the community.

Is this event suitable for families and children?

This is a 'Sisters Only' event designed for focused learning and recitation. While it fosters a community atmosphere, it is best suited for adult sisters and older teenage girls who can participate in the circle. It is not designed with specific facilities for young children.

What should I bring or prepare for this event?

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own Mushaf (copy of the Qur'an) to follow along. Bringing a water bottle is also a good idea. Most importantly, bring a sincere intention to connect with the Qur'an and your fellow sisters this Ramadan.
