Every Australian meat label carries an AUS EST number, the federal identifier for the facility that slaughtered, boned, or packed the meat. The number sits inside an oval or rectangular stamp that reads "AUS EST" followed by 1 to 4 digits, and it is the single most reliable way to trace a pack of meat back to its source.

HalalHQ tracks 165 Australian meat establishments covering beef, lamb, and goat across VIC, NSW, WA, QLD, SA, TAS, and NT, drawn from the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) recognised Islamic bodies list and the Malaysia Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) approved plant list, and flags which carry documented halal certification. Both are authoritative government registers, refreshed periodically and dated on every page so you can judge freshness at a glance.

Type a number above to see the establishment's halal status, the certifier on file, the species processed, and when the certification was last verified. State-letter EST numbers (e.g. 123V for Victoria, or other suffixes like W, Q, S, N, T, D) belong to state-regulated, domestic-only facilities outside the federal export register, and are not yet covered.
