Answer one question and leave your contact details. If you want to take orders through HalalHQ, we call you, build your kitchen page and menu with you, and you go live once you have accepted the agreement. If you only want to be listed in the Home Kitchens directory, upload your poster or menu and we review it before it appears. You can change your mind later.
What else do home cooks ask?
- What does it cost?
- Two things come off each card sale: our fee of 5% (which includes GST while HalalHQ is registered for GST) and the Stripe payment fee, currently about 1.7% plus 30 cents on an Australian card (more on an overseas card). On a $100 card sale that is $5 to us and about $2.00 to Stripe, so about $93.00 is yours. Both are shown on your weekly statement, using the exact Stripe amount. There is no sign-up or monthly fee.
- When do I get paid?
- Every Monday, for the week before (Monday to Sunday), straight into your bank account.
- What do I need to start?
- An ABN and a bank account in the name of you or your business. You are responsible for holding whatever registration your local council requires for selling food from home.
- Who delivers the food?
- Customers can pick up from you or have it delivered. We agree with you who delivers: you, or HalalHQ in the areas we cover. If you deliver, the delivery fee is yours.
- Can I still take my own orders?
- Yes. Selling through HalalHQ is not exclusive, so you can keep taking orders by phone or message as you do now.
- Do I choose when I cook?
- Yes. You set the days you cook, your order cut-off, and you can mark a dish sold out at any time.
