The Melbourne Grand Mosque (MGM) is a significant hub for the Muslim community in Tarneit, located approximately 25 kilometers west of Melbourne's CBD. Opened in 2022, it was funded by the Werribee Islamic Centre and Muslim communities. Beyond being a place of worship, it serves as a vibrant center for cultural, social, and educational activities, hosting various community events such as large-scale Eid festivals with stalls, rides, and activities. The facility also encompasses a community center, food and kitchen services, Janaza services, a library and classrooms, Islamic counseling services, an early childhood service center, and a sports center. The mosque aims to foster harmony, strong citizenship, and the development of knowledge and skills, while also serving as a bridge for dialogue with all faith and non-faith communities.
