Lerderderg Gorge is a significant natural landmark in central Victoria, approximately one hour's drive northwest of Melbourne. MacKenzies Flat Picnic Area, located at the end of Lerderderg Gorge Road, is a common starting point for walks and offers facilities such as car parking, toilets, and barbecues. The park is part of the traditional Country of the Wurundjeri and Wathaurong Aboriginal peoples. Some roads and tracks within the gorge area are subject to seasonal closures from early June to late October.
Cost: $25 PER PERSON. This is a Level 4 Hike, requiring participants to be prepared and exercise caution. Attendees should bring a water bottle, good shoes, and warm clothing. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The meeting point is Preston Mosque, with carpooling available.
