Good to know

Address sources agree on 90 Cramer Street, Preston VIC 3072, and the Islamic Society of Victoria's contact page lists the same location. One aggregator gives 88-92 Cramer Street, and one prayer-times site wrongly lists the venue under Tasmania, though postcode 3072 is in Victoria. Phone: (03) 9470 2424. Website: prestonmosque.com.au or isv.org.au. Preston City Mosque on North Road, Preston PR1 1YQ is in Lancashire, England, and is a different venue. I did not confirm whether a Sisters Bookclub is held at the Melbourne mosque, so the organiser should be checked before relying on this venue.

Fact 1:Islamic Significance

Seeking knowledge is strongly emphasised in Islam, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged believers to pursue learning from the cradle to the grave. Gatherings that study Islamic texts and topics together allow participants to deepen their understanding of faith, strengthen their worship, and benefit from shared reflection and discussion.

Fact 2:About Community Events

Community study gatherings bring people together around books and discussion rather than lectures alone. This format invites participants to ask questions, share perspectives, and learn from one another, making Islamic knowledge more accessible, interactive, and relevant to everyday life.
