Join us for a warm and heartfelt conversation with Sis Rahimah Mah, as she shares her 23-year journey of raising her daughter with Down Syndrome, her experiences, challenges, joys and how faith, perseverance and community support have made a difference. Together, we will explore how families and our Muslim community can better nurture, include and empower our special members of the Ummah. WE WILL DISCUSS: Nurturing faith, cultural identity and Islamic practices for children with additional needs, Overcoming challenges and finding joy in the journey, Practical strategies for parents and families, The role of community and inclusive spaces, How we can create more opportunities so every child can learn, belong and thrive.

Sis Rahimah Mah is a Chinese Muslim from Myanmar, a devoted mother to her 23-year-old daughter with Down Syndrome, has a medical background, currently works as an Oncology Data Manager, and is one of the early founders of a program supporting special members of the Ummah in Melbourne. She is passionate about supporting parents of children with additional needs to nurture their full potential.
