Fact 1:The Virtue of Seeking Knowledge

In Islam, attending lectures to seek sacred knowledge ('ilm) is considered an act of worship. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that for one who travels a path to seek knowledge, Allah makes the path to Paradise easy. Gatherings like this are a blessed way to prepare spiritually for Ramadan.

Islamic lectures, or 'dars', are a tradition dating back to the Prophet's (PBUH) time.
