ISRA Academy is a distinguished non-profit Islamic educational institution serving the Muslim community in Melbourne and across Australia. Established in 2009, it provides a unique blend of traditional Islamic scholarship and modern academic excellence. In partnership with Charles Sturt University, ISRA offers accredited undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Islamic Studies and Classical Arabic. Beyond tertiary education, the academy enriches the community through its dedicated Quran Academy, Youth College, and supportive programs like the New Muslim Support Circle, fostering a strong and knowledgeable Australian Muslim identity.
Testimonials from participants, particularly in the New Muslim Support Circle, are overwhelmingly positive. Members describe finding a 'second family' and praise the welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. They highlight that the programs have boosted their confidence and helped them grow in their faith, making them feel connected and no longer alone on their spiritual journey.
The pursuit of knowledge ('ilm) is a cornerstone of Islamic tradition. ISRA Academy continues this legacy by blending classical Islamic sciences with contemporary academic standards, making profound religious knowledge accessible...
ISRA Academy offers a wide range of educational services, including accredited university courses like Bachelor and Master of Islamic Studies in partnership with Charles Sturt University, an online Quran Academy with trained teachers, and a Youth College for weekend classes.
ISRA Academy has a physical campus in Melbourne (Craigieburn) and Sydney. It also serves students nationally and internationally through its comprehensive online learning platforms, making its courses accessible to a global audience.
General venue hours for the Melbourne campus are on Thursdays and Saturdays. However, specific class and course times vary, so it is best to consult their official website for detailed schedules for university, youth, and Quran programs.
