Fact 1:Islamic Significance
Community gatherings hold a central place in Islamic tradition, from the early mosque in Medina serving as a meeting place for worship, learning and consultation. Shura, or consultation, is encouraged in the Quran as a way of making collective decisions. Attending an organisation's annual meeting reflects this value of shared responsibility and mutual advice among believers.
